Having analysed over 1105 airports worldwide, ACI reports that, despite the world economic crisis, passenger numbers in developed economies in Europe and North Americ remain relatively stable, while certain aiprorts in emerging economies (e.g. Dubai (DXB), Istanbul (IST) and Kuala Lumpur (KUL)) are seeing a double-digit growth.

Two Russians climb Shanghai TowerAs you are flying over Shanghai, you may imagine almost being able to touch the Shanghai Tower, which, once completed, at 632 meters (2073 ft) will be the tallest skyscraper in China and the second tallest in the World (after Burj Khalifa in Dubai).

Two Russian thrill-seekers did just that: they sneaked through Chinese security and climbed not only to the top of the completed part of the Tower, but then continued to the top of the construction crane!

British Airways Get Together campaignSumeet and Chetna have been maried for three years but between work and constantly being surrounded by family, they can hardly find a moment to be together, just the two of them.

Chetna says: "I wanted to know him better so I can love him more."

In their new "Get Together" video, British Airways features Sumeet and Chetna getting away on a flight from India to London in order to finally spend some quality time together. "All that I wanted to do was to bring the smile back onto Chetna's face," says Sumeet.

ANA racist commercialIn a commercial aired on Japanese TV last weekend, ANA All Nippon Airways stereotyped the image of westerners as being blond with big noses.

The video was meant to promote ANA's new flights from Tokyo Haneda Airport starting in March to destinations such as Vancouver and Hanoi.

Within hours, ANA's Facebook page and Twitter account received messages from fans and followers calling the airline 'racist'.
