UK budget airline Jet2 has removed debit card charges when paying for flights. This announcement comes just a month after Aer Lingus, BMI Baby, Eastern Airways, easyJet, Flybe, German Wings, Jet2, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Thomas Cook, Thomson (TUI) and Wizz Air were subject to an OFT consumer law investigation and have agreed to change their practices. Steve Lee, Commercial Director of Jet2, said: "At Jet2 we pride ourselves on putting our customers first and offering great value, friendly low fares and we can now say the price you see is the price you pay." While debit card payments are free, payment made by credit card or PayPal (GBP/Euro only) incur a payment processing fee of 3.60% or 2.00% respectively. To book Jet2 flights, click here.
