| British Airways leaves passengers stranded over Christmas and New Year |

Ballot papers have been issued to to more than 12,000 British Airways cabin crew in November and thousands have decided to strike over recent changes to employment conditions, including job cuts and pay freeze. The strike will start on 22 December and last until 2 January, severly disrupting travel over the busy Christmas and New Year period. An official announcement by BA said: "We are currently reworking our flight schedules for the strike period and aim to announce them as quickly as possible. If you have been affected by BA strike, ask for refund and use www.whichbudget.com to check if a budget airline flies on your chosen route.
