While Azerbaijan has been basking in the glory of its Saturday night Eurovision win, WhichBudget.com has identified another accomplishment it can be proud of... Azerbaijan is topping flight destination searches, with peaked flight interest in the country following Saturday's triumph.

Since the winning song, Running Scared, was announced, would-be holidaymakers have been logging on to look at flights to Baku in their droves, resulting in a drastic increase in searches to this destination, up by 54% this Sunday compared to last Sunday.

In addition to its now celebrated singing prowess, Azerbaijan is also famed for being oil-rich country and its ancient history.  Capital City Baku's Old Town is known to be some 2000 years old and the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape in the semi-desert of central Azerbaijan has an outstanding collection of more than 6,000 rock engravings bearing testimony to 40,000 years of stone age grafitti.
