The Oceans Festival is back in Lisbon between July 31 and August 14, with an edition devoted to the commemoration of the centenary of the Portuguese Republic, which includes several events, to animate the Riverside Area of the Capital.
Unprecedented, surprising and appealing performances, Concerts, Fado Nights, Museums opened at night, Exhibitions, street entertainment, interactive activities and fireworks are some of the surprises that are access free and directed at audiences of all ages.
An incredible performance displayed vertically, along a “wall” made with scaffolding.
Theatron uses technological, multimedia and fireworks equipment, just as easily as it “invents” scenario machines and a whole “sustainable” and “recovered” scenography, thus creating environments that can be “beautiful and pacifying” but suddenly revert to chaotic and disturbing.
“A praise to construction. An ode to the work of making Theatre happen by making Theatre. Kinetic memory of those that exist because they once existed”.

The wind howls through its branches, carrying strange sounds. Out of the noise, a tune emerges and four pod-like flowers slowly open to reveal musicians. Live music brings the garden to life… Spring’s new growth blooms into a colourful summer party, heat builds and the air turns heavy; Can music resist the storm?”
