New routes with Jet2 from Manchester and Edinburgh PDF Print E-mail

Cheap flights with Jet2Jet2 announced the launch of three new flights from Manchester Airport to Dordogne and Cyprus and new flights from Edinburgh to Budapest.

Flights from Manchester to Brive (Dordogne) are expected to be a big hit with holiday makers, but also the many expatriates and home owners living in that area of France. Flights wil operate twice a week from May to September and prices will start from £39.99 one-way, including taxes.

Summer 2011 will also see the launch of two brand new sunshine routes from the airport - Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus. Flights from Manchester to Paphos will depart twice weekly throughout the summer, commencing 6th April, with the flights from Manchester to Larnaca service departing every Saturday from 14th May. Fares start from £69.99 one way including taxes.

Flights from Edinburgh to Budapest will begin on 21st April with fares starting from £29.00 one-way, including taxes. The announcements come hot on the heels of the launch of Jet2’s new flights from Edinburgh to Salzburg and Edinburgh to Geneva for the 2010/2011 winter sports season.

Australia flag: find cheap flights from AustraliaFollowing the earlier announcement that Pacific Blue will cease flying New Zealand domestic routes, The Virgin Blue Group announced the second phase of its network review with the introduction of Airbus A330-200 aircraft for its domestic network and an overhaul of its international long haul network.

As part of the review, V Australia will withdraw from its loss making Boeing 777-300 services to South Africa and Phuket.

"As a minor player on the African route the prospects of achieving a return are remote," said John Borghetti, Virgin Blue Group Chief Executive Officer.

Sama AirlinesSama Airlines, Saudi Arabian low cost airline, announced yesterday that it would discontinue all flight operations as of Tuesday 24th August 2010.

The airline said: "The decision to stop flying was not taken lightly, but we have spent many months seeking alternatives, and now this is the only option remaining to us."
