Rail fares in France are cheaper than in the UK, and the service that French Railways offers is excellent (see www.sncf.com). From London Stansted to Lyons on easyJet is £79 plus tax. From there a return ticket to Paris is around £35. Or fly from London Stansted on Ryanair to Dinard for £70 plus tax. To Bergerac is only 14 pence each way, with taxes of £33.
