WhichBudget.com - cheap flights with discount airlines, all in one place

WhichBudget Press Release, 06 April 2006

LOW COST FLIGHTS DON'T START AND END IN EUROPE

The number of low-cost flights available worldwide has doubled in the past five years, according to figures from the travel information company OAG.

That's why the service offered by the website www.whichbudget.com is so valuable as it consolidates all budget airlines - in Europe and beyond - on one easily-navigable site.

"Many people don't realise that there are budget airlines flying on all continents these days, and the main reason for that is that they just don't know where to start looking when dealing with somewhere like the Far East or Indian sub-continent. But at www.whichbudget.com, out of the 107 countries we feature, 68 (64%) are actually outside Europe. That's no doubt why 25% of our traffic comes from outside Europe", so says Managing Director of www.whichbudget.com, Martino Matijevic.

With dedicated editors in Southport (Australia) and Washington DC (USA) they're the first to learn of any low cost carrier anywhere in the world.

So, which long haul destinations can you hop off to at low cost from the UK or mainland Europe? Here are just some of the countless examples from the website:

* Air Madrid fly from Madrid and Barcelona to a number of Latin American destinations: Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Argentina, Peru, Chile and Costa Rica.

* Dutch charter airline, ArkeFly has flights from Amsterdam to a number of Caribbean destinations, Brazil, Mexico and the Gambia.

* Flyglobespan have just started flights from Manchester to Capetown.

* Aer Lingus fly from Ireland to a number of U.S. cities, with prices from less than £100 one way, excl. taxes

* From the UK low cost Canada is available through the likes of Flyglobespan, Zoom and IgluCanada.

As a clear example, take a flight from London to Natal (Brazil). The cheapest return ticket (inc. taxes) in June using full cost airlines (TAP Portugalia to Lisbon and Tam Linhas Airlines to Brazil) is £786.40, while using low-cost airlines (easyJet to Amsterdam and Arkefly to Brazil) is just £384.81. Less than half a price!!!

Martino Matijevic says: "combine this with a night or two in Amsterdam and you have a perfect holiday. You can save the cost of your Amsterdam break from the overall cost of your flights by using our site".
